Vintage CAPIZ SHELL Globe Hanging Swag Light Pendant Ball Lamp MCM
Vintage MCM retro white capiz shell hanging sphere swag light. Capiz shells set in brass colored metal bands. Approximately 12" across and 11.5" tall. Takes one standard size light bulb. I used a fairly bright white bulb when I took pictures, but you could use a more mellow light bulb for a softer look. Or even a colored bulb if that's your taste. Over 14 feet of chain and cord.
Cord has an inline on/off switch. There is a circle of capiz shell edged in brass that fits over the circular opening in the bottom of the sphere. Simply push it aside when you want to put your hand in to change lightbulb. Condition: Overall very good condition.
No breaks or holes to capiz shell. Brass fitter at top has light oxidation from age, but still looks good. The cord and chain show age related dirt/dust.
I personally like the aged finish to the chain as the newer ones tend to be a bit shiny for my taste. But, to each his own.
